Reported 3/1/46. 3rd Division Jr. Officer. Victor Donald Snow Sr. was born on June 15, 1925 in Brookwood, Alabama, the third child and only son of Malt and Sarah Snow. He was a 1942 graduate of Tuscaloosa High School, a brilliant student renowned for his prowess in mathematics. He even discovered an error in a math equation in his textbook, much to the publisher's chagrin. Upon graduation, he entered the University of Alabama, then transferred to Rice University, graduating with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1945. He then entered the U.S. Naval Reserve, serving his country as an ensign on the U.S.S. Missouri. From 1947 to 1949, he taught electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) while taking graduate engineering courses. He married in 1949 in Cambridge, MA, then embarked on a 50 year career in electrical engineering design for a number of major corporations.

Mr. Snow died at the age of 79 on March 25, 2005 in Birmingham, Alabama. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 55 years, Suzanne Snider Snow; four sons, V. Donald Snow, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Stephen B. Snow of Richmond, VA, David M. Snow, of Greenville, SC, Stuart W. Snow of Florence, SC, and 1 daughter, Nancy E. Snow of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren, Jessica Snow, Jacquelyn Snow, Jennifer Snow, S. Wesley Snow, Jr., Daniel Snow, and Dustin Snow; and his two sisters, Virginia Tidwell of Birmingham and Dorothy Jaffe of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends who will always cherish memories of a hard-working and jovial, warm and loving man.
