Missouri is called to the support of the redeployment of the Tenth Corps from Hungnam, giving continuous fire support. Missouri remained the protector, bombarding until the last defense units left the beaches of Hungnam. This brought to a close fifty two consecutive days of sustained operations by Missouri. Missouri is moored at Sasebo, Japan for the holidays. Missouri underway in the operating area off the east coast of Korea, including shore bombardments and operating with Task Force 77.
